Höhepunkt des Jahressymposiums ist die Yaşargil Lecture in Würdigung der Beiträge und Leistungen von Professor M. Gazi Yaşargil. Die diesjährige Yaşargil Lecture wird von Professsor Pierre Magistretti, einem Pionier der Interaktion zwischen Neuronen und Gliazellen im Gehirn zum Thema «Neuron-Glia metabolic coupling: implications for neuroprotection, synaptic plasticity and brain pathologies» gehalten.
