Throughout the year we are opening resident positions in Neuroradiology as a part of the specialization in Radiology. Candidates with previous training in Neurology, Neurosurgery or another clinical Neuro-discipline are welcome to apply. Qualified candidates may be selected for the Neuroradiology–Radiology career rotation program at the University Hospital Zürich, which offers an excellent clinical training in combination with the full range of academic opportunities.
In addition, our department offers academic mentoring for candidates with a strong research profile. Depending on your career plans the rotation can be tailored to achieve the board certification in “Diagnostic Neuroradiology” very efficiently. Up to one year of previous residency training in Neuroradiology can be accepted. This implies, that those candidates need only one additional year (instead of two) to achieve the title (see also fellowship position in Diagnostic Neuroradiology). Candidates, who want to specialize in Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) thereafter may qualify for one of our INR-fellowship positions.
The Department for Neuroradiology at the University Hospital Zürich is an internationally renowned academic institution that covers the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional procedures employs the latest technologies. Our service is provided in close cooperation with all clinical Neuro-disciplines including dedicated intensive-care and stroke units and offers unique research opportunities.
We offer an intensively supervised training program with expert mentoring and adequate working time compensation. The successful candidate will fully participate in the neuroradiological service including a broad spectrum of advanced neuroimaging techniques, on-call service, interdisciplinary boards and conferences. Research and teaching activities are optional for residents.
We are seeking highly motivated and strongly team oriented young colleagues, who are dedicate a high-level training to Neuroradiology. German language certification level B(2) is required.
