Six USZ departments each rank as the best Swiss department in the Newsweek ranking “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals” and underline the high medical quality at the USZ.
In the annual ranking “World’s Best Specialized Hospitals”, 12 medical disciplines were assessed by “Newsweek” and the market research company Statista. In eleven of these twelve disciplines, departments of the USZ were also evaluated. Six departments of the USZ – Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Endocrinology, Diabetology and Clinical Nutrition, and Medical Oncology and Hematology – were each ranked as the best Swiss specialist department.
The results are mainly based on an online survey of thousands of healthcare professionals – mostly doctors – in more than 30 countries. In addition, the awarding of accreditations, such as those of the DKG or the IQM, was analyzed. In addition, the results of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) were also taken into account in the scoring model.
We are extremely pleased with this result, which recognizes the outstanding daily work of everyone involved.
