Cohort study on chronic pancreatitis

The research project investigates the health status and effectiveness of treatments for chronic pancreatitis (=chronic pancreatitis)

Aim of the study

Chronic pancreatitis is a long-lasting inflammation of the pancreas. It is a serious condition that can have an impact on your quality of life. Quality of life is impaired, among other things, by the fact that the disease can lead to pain and disruption of the pancreas. This can lead to digestive problems and diabetes, for example. The causes of the disease vary. The course and severity of the disease also differ from patient to patient, without this being able to be predicted precisely. Therefore, our aim with this study is to document the health status of people with chronic pancreatitis and the effect of treatments on the quality of life, pain and function of the pancreas as well as possible. This will help us to better understand and treat the disease in the future.
