His research work has been awarded numerous national and international prizes by the DGIIN, DIVI and ANZICS. He has published over 150 articles (cumulative IF: >1000, H-factor: 35). In the area of teaching, the 5th year students have repeatedly awarded his lecture on sepsis with a teaching prize. He is also an active mentor in 4 mentoring programs for junior doctors in further training.
