Research focus
Translational research program with projects in the areas of hemolytic anemia, cerebral hemorrhage, sepsis, inflammation and immune regulation. Over the last 15 years, we have developed a pathophysiological concept such as free hemoglobin and heme, which can accelerate a wide variety of disease processes. On this basis, we are developing new therapies in an international consortium.
