Cardiology, Obstetrics and Neurosurgery top the Statista rankings
For the second time, the “Handelszeitung” has published the “Best Specialist Clinics in Switzerland 2024” ranking in collaboration with the German market research company Statista. We are extremely pleased to have been awarded first place in three of the eight disciplines analyzed. For the ranking, an online survey of healthcare professionals was conducted and data from patient surveys and medical indicators were analyzed.
Having already been recognized as the best specialist clinic in Switzerland last year, the Department for Cardiology can also claim first place in the current ranking. Moreover, with 93.42 out of a maximum of 100 points, the clinic was even able to improve on last year’s rating – and achieve the best score of all the clinics analyzed.
Outstanding daily work by all involved
The specialties of Obstetrics and Neurosurgery were evaluated for the first time this year. The fact that the USZ took the top spot at its premiere is testament to the outstanding daily work of everyone involved.
The USZ Department of Obstetrics finished well ahead of the competition in the ranking. The panel in this specialty exclusively comprises university hospitals. The fact that medical experts gave very good ratings in the online survey underlines the clinic’s high reputation throughout Switzerland. The clinic’s new premises are also making an impact: the equipment in the birthing rooms scores highly as a “standout treatment”.
With over 90 points, USZ Neurosurgery leaves the other clinics far behind, finishing a full five points ahead of the second-placed Hirslanden Clinic. As with Obstetrics, Neurosurgery can count on a high “reputation score” and is rated very highly by medical professionals.
