Please note that you will need very good German language skills (at least level B2 according to the German Goethe Institute) to work at the USZ.
Nurses who have completed their training abroad must have their diploma recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. For the application process, we recommend that you have already completed the PreCheck. As a doctor (f/m/d), your medical diploma, specialist diploma (if available) and German language skills must be listed in the register of medical professions.
If you have completed your training abroad, you will also need a MEBEKO recognition for your medical diploma and specialist diploma. Further information on the recognition and language entry can be found here. If your diplomas are not directly recognized by the MEBEKO and a decision has been made by the MEBEKO that your diploma has been listed in the MedReg as a non-recognizable foreign diploma, we must obtain a permit from the Health Directorate of the Canton of Zurich for you to be employed.
