Our program connects brilliant minds from various disciplines to foster collaboration, innovation, and groundbreaking solutions. Join us on this journey to shape the future of healthcare and make a lasting impact on patients' lives.
The innovation project is screened by the Health Innovation Hub and USZ medical leaders and/or subject matter experts. With a positive outcome, the project will be invited to be part of the innovation portfolio. Together with our Innovation Managers, the needs of the innovation project are evaluated (e.g. data access, business know-how, medical know-how, sponsors, finances, principal investigators, …) and a project plan is defined.
After the definition of the project plan and the documentation of basic business information, the project takes its first steps towards the formation of a company. With the support of our Entrepreneurs in Residence, the innovation project will create a full business plan and a detailed pitch deck. During this process, the project team will receive business trainings and further support according to the projects needs (infrastructure, prototypes, specialized coaches, legal support, …).
After the finalization of the business plan / pitch deck, the team around the innovation project is invited to present its results at the Innovation Board. If promoted by the Board, the innovation project will receive further support by our Entrepreneurs in Residence and financial contributions upwards of CHF 100’000.- to accelerate the business development.
The innovation project has graduated the USZ Health Innovation Hub Program. The Entrepreneurs in Residence will continue to support the project team as needed (finance coaching, venture rounds, network access, …).
