In order to carry out the necessary basic examinations, the woman usually needs to visit the doctor two to three times. The menstrual cycle plays a central role in the clarification; it is therefore advisable to keep a menstrual calendar for several months.
The following problems can make it difficult or impossible for a woman to get pregnant:
Age is a very important factor. In women, the chance of pregnancy decreases from the age of 35. At the same time, the risk of miscarriage increases. We therefore advise women over the age of 35 not to waste any time and seek specialist medical advice if they are unable to conceive. The age-related change in fertility also influences the chances of success of fertility treatment. In addition, smoking and being overweight or underweight can reduce the chances of pregnancy.
