Only a fraction of medical innovations find their way into practical application. We will explore how the situation can be improved.

Goals of Implementation Science:
Increase and accelerate the adoption and dissemination of research findings and evidence-based practices.

De-implement practices with low therapeutic value.

Increase the involvement of patients, families and the public in research.

Achieve knowledge circulation i.e., to enable the transfer of knowledge from practice to research.

How can I approach this issue? By considering…
What are the most effective strategies and practices to incorporate new discoveries and evidence-based practice into care delivery?
How do contextual factors influence the success – or failure – of implementing a new discovery or an evidence-based practice?
How can these contextual factors be modified to increase chances of success?
