Wrinkle treatment

The Clinic for Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery offers treatments with hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin A to treat wrinkles. If desired, both treatments can be combined in the same session.

Wrinkle treatment with hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid fillers are injected under the skin and give the treated areas more volume or cushioning. Wrinkles can be filled in and lips made fuller, for example.

The following zones are treated most frequently:

  • Wrinkle injections: Visible smoothing and softening of even pronounced wrinkles, e.g. frown lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, wrinkles around the lips
  • Lip correction: fuller lips and enhancement of the lip contour
  • Correction of deepened scars

Wrinkle treatment with botulinum toxin A

Botulinum toxin A is frequently used in aesthetic surgery to treat wrinkles. The mimic muscles in the area of the face can be well and purposefully paralyzed.

Horizontal forehead wrinkles (“worry lines”), glabellar wrinkles (“frown lines”) and wrinkles around the eyes (“laugh lines”, “crow’s feet”) are treated most frequently. As a rule, the first results are visible after around three to five days, the full effect unfolds after a week. On average, the effect lasts about six months (four to nine months).
