Scar corrections

Scars often disturb personal well-being, even if they are sometimes only very small.

Introduction

We advise you on the treatment options for small and large scars. These can range from a purely aesthetic disorder to a severe functional impairment. With our extensive experience in treating patients from our center for the treatment of severe burn injuries, we are always up to date when it comes to promising scar treatment.

Treatment options

We will advise you individually on which correction options are available and whether conservative treatment with silicone plasters or the superficial application of scar products may be sufficient. We also offer camouflage – a cosmetic technique for covering scars – to conceal large, aesthetically unpleasant scars on the face. By working together with colleagues from other disciplines, we can put together an individual treatment concept for you.

We offer the following treatment options:

  • Conservative therapy (compression treatment, silicone pads, preparations containing cortisone)
  • Camouflage
  • Collagen induction (medical needling)
  • Autologous fat transfer, stem cell therapy
  • Surgical scar correction
  • Radiation and laser therapy (in collaboration with the dermatology clinic)
