Corrective breast surgery

Corrective surgery after breast reconstruction includes, for example, adjusting the opposite side or the operated side using various surgical techniques.

Procedure

In most cases, a tightening, enlargement or reduction of the healthy side is necessary. In particular, we use the transplantation of autologous fat (“lipofilling”) to compensate for asymmetries in order to achieve the best possible end result. Corrective surgery should be performed approximately six months after breast reconstruction, at a time when the internal scars have healed, the tissue has “softened” and no further changes in shape are to be expected. Depending on the type of procedure, the patient can be treated as an outpatient or as an inpatient for a short period (two to three days).
