Fungal diseases (mycosis) treatment

Fungi are eukaryotic organisms, which biologically include both unicellular organisms such as baker's yeast and multicellular organisms such as molds and yeasts. Fungi reproduce and spread sexually and asexually by spores and vegetatively by dispersal. Fungi can cause various fungal diseases in humans.

Forms of fungal disease

Mycosis or fungal disease is an infectious disease caused by fungi. In human mycosis, the pathogens spread parasitically on or in the living tissue of humans. A distinction is made between dermatophytes (filamentous fungi), yeasts (shoot fungi) and molds. According to localization, mycoses can be divided into superficial and systemic mycoses. Superficial mycoses include fungal infections of the skin (caused by dermatophytes). In systemic mycoses, the fungi enter the bloodstream and infect the internal organs. Systemic mycoses in humans are serious diseases and usually affect people with a very weakened immune system.
