Clinical Trial: Hepatitis C HIV Coinfection
Our research focuses on people living with HIV coinfected with hepatitis C virus.
In this patient population, hepatitis C is one of the most common causes of death. The main focus of our research is the investigation of a new epidemic of acute hepatitis C virus infections among HIV-infected men who have sex with men (MSM). In the Swiss HCVree study. Our aim is to eliminate hepatitis C in this population by systematically testing and treating all MSM from the Swiss HIV cohort study for hepatitis C coinfection.
