Aftercare for skin cancer

Regular follow-up checks with a dermatologist are essential in the case of skin cancer in order to detect at an early stage whether it has recurred. It is important that you have not only the treated area, but the entire surface of the skin examined regularly. Depending on the severity of the disease, your doctor will determine the frequency of the check-ups and which additional examinations (ultrasound, X-rays and laboratory tests) are necessary.
