Skin Tumor Center

The special strength of the Skin Tumor Center is the interdisciplinary cooperation with the other clinics and departments of the USZ. Thus, the Skin Tumor Center of the University Hospital Zurich guarantees first-class patient care in an international comparison.

All skin cancers (melanoma, lymphoma, basal cell carcinoma, spinalioma and Merkel cell carcinoma) are systemically treated in the Day Clinic of the Skin Center; annually, the USZ Skin Tumor Center performs over >300 tumor-specific therapies.

The dermatosurgery department has access to in-clinic operating rooms and provides surgical treatment for skin cancer. Our own department of dermatopathology guarantees histological findings for the sustained diagnosis of skin cancer. In the “physical therapy” department, photodynamic therapy and radiation treatment, among others, are performed.

Closely related to the Skin Tumor Center are the clinical studies in the field of malignant skin disease.
