Mind Body Medicine
Hypnosis
Phytotherapy and other naturopathic methods.
The complementary medical treatment is individually adapted and coordinated with the cancer therapy. We are committed to integrative oncology.
Procedure
Important areas are:
Stress regulation / relaxation
Movement
Nutrition
Breathing
Self-care measures (e.g. acupressure)
Cognitive impairment during chemotherapy
Mind Body Medicine also offers the option of group treatments. These groups are led by doctors and psychologists and comprise ten sessions.
Exercise and relaxation are two important resources that can significantly improve the quality of life of oncology patients. One advantage of yoga is that it combines exercise and relaxation. The exercise sequences are structured in such a way that you are supported in your personal needs and possibilities.
Eating healthy bones – preventing osteoporosis in breast cancer patients
Osteoporosis is a very common disease that mostly affects women with breast cancer. In this group treatment, breast cancer patients undergoing anti-hormonal therapy learn about aspects of a healthy diet and which foods can have a positive effect on bone health.

We see people as a whole
Accompanying complementary medical treatment can take place parallel to your cancer therapy or following it.
Our doctors will have a detailed discussion with you and advise you or develop an individual treatment plan with you. This can include elements of acupuncture / TCM, mind-body medicine, hypnosis, phytotherapy and other naturopathic procedures and is implemented by our interprofessional team.
Acupuncture / TCM
Acupuncture / TCM treatment can be individually adapted to the symptoms and needs of the patient. We also offer a special acupuncture consultation for oncology patients. This is suitable for the direct treatment of specific symptoms that occur during cancer therapy. Your referring doctors will provide the indication:
Nausea during chemotherapy or radiotherapy
Dry mouth during or after radiotherapy for tumors in the head or neck area
In Mind Body Medicine, an individualized concept for lifestyle change is developed with patients, adapted to their symptoms and needs. The aim is to reduce symptoms and strengthen self-efficacy. There is a particular focus on strengthening resources, mindfulness and self-care.
