In collaboration with the Institute of Clinical Chemistry (IKC) and the laboratory of the Hematology Clinic (HAD), the laboratory at the airport offers laboratory analyses that are urgently required for triage, further diagnostics or therapy for patients treated at USZ Airport. Wherever possible, the same analytical methods are used as in the USZ campus laboratories, so that patients can be cared for at different locations without any restrictions from a laboratory medicine perspective. Laboratory samples for tests that cannot be carried out on site are forwarded to the USZ laboratories on campus or at UZH in a timely manner and under the necessary pre-analytical conditions.
