This examination is used for patients who complain of palpitations, palpitations, fainting, dizziness or collapse, for example. The long-term ECG (24h, 48h, 7 days or 4 weeks) can be used to analyze arrhythmias. Some arrhythmias are harmless and do not require drug or interventional therapy. Others require further clarification by means of imaging or other procedures or treatment with medication, cardiac pacemakers or catheter ablation.
Since a single blood pressure measurement, especially in the presence of a medical professional, can show falsely high values (“white coat hypertension”), a 24-hour blood pressure measurement is often carried out. The blood pressure is measured at regular intervals several times an hour over 24 hours using a device that is taken home. This enables a realistic and reliable assessment of the blood pressure situation.
Ergometry involves physical exertion on a bicycle or treadmill. Blood pressure and ECG are monitored. Ergometry is an important part of the diagnosis and monitoring of cardiovascular diseases. Ergometry is also used to better assess high blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmia. Another field of application for ergometry is preventive medicine and sports medicine. Spiroergometry can also be carried out for special questions such as the clarification of shortness of breath or for training advice, in which the patient wears a mask with which the respiratory gases are measured. We also offer lactate performance diagnostics for athletes.
This examination is used to clarify unexplained sudden loss of consciousness.
Our pacemaker consultation is available for patients with pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and special pacemakers for cardiac resynchronization therapy. Routine checks, reprogramming due to complaints or for medical reasons are carried out here. The first wound checks after implantation of the devices also take place here.
You can either register yourself or be referred by your primary care physician, specialist.
