Due to a very large number of requests, referrals are currently only possible through the treating family physician.
The University Hospital's nutritional advice service advises inpatients and outpatients on all nutritional issues.
The close interdisciplinary cooperation with the doctors, other MTT professional groups and the nursing staff ensures that an individual nutrition therapy can be set up for each patient, which is adapted to the respective needs, depending on the clinical picture.
Nutritional counseling specialists advise and support people to achieve a better quality of life who are restricted in their diet due to illnesses such as diabetes mellitus, allergies, kidney disease, gastroenterological complaints, malnutrition and/or after a major operation. They also train groups in nutritional issues of all kinds. They also provide nutrition education, information, advice and training. Their actions are scientifically based.
The costs for outpatient consultations are covered by the compulsory basic insurance with these indications and a doctor’s prescription.
