Quality and patient safety

The USZ strives for a consistently high quality of its services. The primary goal is to offer every patient the best possible treatment with the best possible quality. To achieve this, we operate a comprehensive quality management system: expertise, work processes and technology are combined efficiently and carefully. This minimizes risks and achieves better treatment results.

Quality report

Since 2008, the University Hospital has published a standardized report in order to transparently present the quality of the services provided. The USZ has established a high level of quality and safety awareness through the careful recording of meaningful key figures and targeted interventions. The quality report was developed at the University Hospital and is based on the requirements of the H+qualité label.

The latest issue

In the quality report, we show which key figures, interventions and measures we use to measure, ensure and continuously improve quality in the hospital. It is an essential element of transparency for patients.

A learning organization

The USZ sees itself as a learning organization that continuously adapts to changes and trends and ensures that employees can consistently develop their core competencies. Our aim is to learn as a system as a whole so that we can continue to provide our services and fulfill our care mandate in the best possible way in the long term. We attach great importance to further training and exchange.
