Looking for participants

Heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases: RVA – Vascular function in heart disease

For a scientific study, we are looking for people with heart disease, risk factors or the presence of heart disease.

Aim of the study

We measure vascular function in patients with heart failure and compare these results with those of healthy people and patients with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease.

Who can take part in the study

People with heart disease, risk factors or in the presence of heart disease. You cannot take part if you have ocular hypertension (glaucoma), another advanced eye disease (e.g. laser sclerotherapy of the retina), an active inflammation (e.g. flu-like infection) or pregnancy.

Procedure and duration of the study

The study takes place on one date and lasts a total of 2 hours. You will undergo a clinical examination and a blood sample will be taken. We measure the dilation of your upper arm and finger vessels, the vascular stiffness and the dilation of your vessels in the eye. The measurements are non-invasive and are carried out using cameras, ultrasound and pressure gauges.

Benefits for you

You will receive a free clinical examination and extensive blood sampling, as well as information about your vascular function.

Allowance for expenses

No compensation will be paid. All data is treated confidentially. There is no medical benefit for the test subjects. Please note that your data will be registered when you contact us by telephone or e-mail. If you are not interested in participating in the study, your data will be deleted immediately. If you would like further information, please contact the secretariat.
