Nutritional Counseling

The close interdisciplinary cooperation with the doctors, other MTT professional groups and the nursing staff ensures that an individual nutrition therapy can be set up for each patient, which is adapted to the respective needs, depending on the clinical picture.

Nutritional counseling specialists advise and support people to achieve a better quality of life who are restricted in their diet due to illnesses such as diabetes mellitus, allergies, kidney disease, gastroenterological complaints, malnutrition and/or after a major operation. They also train groups in nutritional issues of all kinds. They also provide nutrition education, information, advice and training. Their actions are scientifically based.

Individual consultations and therapies are offered for the following indications:

• Metabolic diseases
• Obesity
• Cardiovascular diseases
• Diseases of the digestive system
• Kidney diseases
• Malnutrition and nutritional deficiencies
• Food allergies and allergic reactions to food ingredients
  

Group counseling and group therapies are offered for the following indications:

• Obesity
• Eating disorders
• FIT courses
• Pneumo-rehabilitation program

The costs for outpatient consultations are covered by the compulsory basic insurance with these indications and a doctor’s prescription.
