Interdisciplinary treatment of head and neck tumors

Depending on the type, location, and extent of head and neck tumors, as well as patient-specific factors such as age and pre-existing conditions, they are treated surgically or with radiation therapy. Sometimes a combination of these treatments is also necessary.

Drug therapy may be recommended as an adjunct to radiation therapy. Drug therapy alone is indicated in advanced tumors in the sense of palliative therapy.
