From the online application to the first day of work

We are happy to receive your application through various channels.

• Recruitment tool: We accept applications for all our vacancies via our recruitment tool. Click on the “Apply online” button at the bottom right of the job posting to access our e-recruiting tool. Register or log in and upload your application documents.
• Quick application: Some professional groups in the Nursing & MTTB Directorate can also apply easily and spontaneously using our form. You can find out which positions this applies to in the drop-down menu.

As soon as we have received your application, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us. The responsible person will check your documents as quickly as possible. If your application meets our desired criteria, we will be happy to invite you by e-mail to an initial interview and/or trial day.

If you are not shortlisted for the position you have applied for, you will receive prompt feedback.

This is an opportunity to get to know each other and ask questions. Different people will be present depending on the vacancy. In addition to your line manager, these could be people from recruitment and/or your future team.

For certain vacancies, we invite you to take an online assessment. This gives us a better insight on your personality and skills. The online assessment can be completed from home and takes between 20 and 90 minutes.

After a positive first interview, usually a second interview will be held. The second interview gives the opportunity to clarify final unanswered questions and your online assessment may be discussed. A business case will be presented for certain vacancies, in order to assess your abilities and problem-solving skills based on a specific example. In addition, you will get to know your future team.

We will inform you shortly after the second interview about our decision. If you have also decided positively for an employment at the USZ, you will receive the employment order.

We will send you useful information on your work and the USZ before you start working for us. On the “Welcome Day”, which takes place on the first working day of each month, you and other new employees will be welcomed by a member of the hospital management and given your personal badge. After this an individual introduction in your team will take place.
